About me
Ok, I am curvy, bubbly and love life. I love being a Mummy and I love iVillage. I am Diabetic and have Hypothyroidism, so any questions? LOL!
I have been a member of iVillage since early 2003 and my girls on MCOD03 are my best friends in the cyber world and in the real world too.
I gave birth in July 06 for the 6th time and I welcomed my 5th earthly child to the world. This is my LAST baby, no really it is!! LOL!! I had a home birth and it made a bit of a stir as it was one of the first ever planned Diabetic Home Births in the country.
I am obsessive about improving Maternity Services and giving women a voice and a choice. I am also passionate about weaning and children's nutrition. I am a great advocate of Breastfeeding and Natural Term Breastfeeding so if anyone needs any info just ask.

About my family
I live with my Toy Boy DF Ian, who is 28 days younger than me ;-D, my 5 children, Christie (18), Chloe (16), Connor (14) Cassie (5) and Caiden (3).
My older three children were with my ex-H, and Cassie and Caiden are with my darling Ian. We also have 3 beautiful angel babies, Cara Madeline who was born asleep at 17 weeks on 17/01/03. Our very tiny little angel, Twinkle Star who fell asleep on 27/01/08. And our latest addition to the Angel kingdom is Little Bun who left us on 08/08/08. ^!^ ^!^ ^!^ We will allmeet again someday and I will hold my babies in my arms.
We also have a very fat, gender confused hamster named Dora who has 2 suspiciously large 'nipples'!!

Likes
I like good food, good wine and good company. I like to laugh with my children and we spend lots of time doing it. I like chatting to my friends on iVillage and I especially like our meet-ups....but not the recovery time afterwards hehehe!
Most of all, I like positive thinking and I believe that the power of positive thought is one of the strongest powers in the universe.
Oh and sex of course, well you don't get pregnant 8 times if you don't like sex, now do you?

People who refuse to learn from their mistakes.
Negativity and self-pity.
Stupid, ignorant people who think they know it all. No one ever knows it all and we should all be open to learning something new every day of our lives.

Breastfeeding, Maternity Services, Homebirth, Attachment Parenting. Watching my rugby team, the Wigan Warriors. iVillage.co.uk, reading Dean Koontz and Patricia Cornwell (when I get a minute!) cooking, parenting and laughing. ;-D

The thing I'm most proud of
Firstly my children of course, they are 5 wonderful people and they make me proud every day.
I am also proud of my Boards, the ladies on there are exceptional women and every day they amaze me with their love, kindness and selflessness. I am so proud to be a part of the community.
