OMG I have this same problem!

I ahve had botox twice now and my eyelids, more one eye than the other is heavy and overhanging I can notice it and especially when I apply makeup, eyeshadow in particular. No on else has noticed it apart from my Mum but I know it's there and my eyes have gone, in my opinion, from being prettyish to a little bit sinister looking.

I was hoping botox would open up my eyes like I see on many celbrities and other women I know who have got botox their eyes are more opened up. I didn mention it once to the woman that did it but she never really gave me any kind of answer I am due for a follow this wk I will ask again. If this is the case with me I dont think I will have it done again as I really dont liek the way I look.

Joanne,

I have regular botox and have done for years. I've had this problem occur once. It's actually called ptosis, the upper eyelid droops and can go as far as overhanging to give an almost hooded look to your eye.

You should request a follow up appointment as your surgeon/nurse can correct this for you with a further injection. I'm not sure how they do it but it's what they did to me and the problem was corrected within a day or two. If you had botox within a week or two, bear in mind that in can be an effect as it kicks in, eradicating itself within a couple of weeks. If not, go back to the person that did it and they'll sort it for you.

It's really annoying and I feel your pain! However, it is correctable!
