Hi Sarah!

Hope you're well - I haven't been on here for ages!!!

How has everything been since the op?  Are you completely healed yet???  I can't believe how quickly the time has gone since you had it done!

My PC managed to bring my op forward to 5th August (a week today!!!!!) I'm sooooo excited! I went for my pre-op yesterday, although I thought it was a bit of a waste of time, as the nurse only took my blood pressure, and checked my height and weight, and shouted at me for coming off my pill!  I can't believe I'll have boobs this time next week!!

I wasn't too sure if I was having unders or overs, but the nurse thinks it's overs as the surgeon wants me to wear a sports bra for 6 weeks after the op.

I think I'm gonna get arnica tablets and see if that helps.  I'm sure the nurse said that I won't have to have drains - I'm not sure why.  She said that I won't have bandages on either, which is strange, as I didn't expect to be able to see my boobs properly until I went for my first check-up!!

Are you back at work yet???

Take care

Laura x

Hi hun!

Gosh yea hasn't time flown by its gone so quick! One week today?!? ARGH :-D how exciting!!! I bet you're feeling nervous I know I did but you don't have to it's all so straight forward I don't know what I was so scared about!

Yea I'm healing really well, I have been in a sports bra too for 6 weeks, and I finally went shopping for a proper bra yesterday. In ann summers I was measured a 32dd woop woop! lol but I also got a bra for Marks and Spencer which fitted better in a 34d. I'm really pleased with my results, my scars arn't too bad at all, and I can finally use my arms and sleep and move like normal now :-)

I'm actually back at work on Monday. I've had 6 weeks off as I work with a lot of lifting and handling (in a nursing home!) so didn't wna push it, but I tell you I am so glad to be going back cos I have been soooooo bored!

Im off on my holiday in 2 and a half weeks :-) we had to bring everything forward as I start a new job in a school on the 3rd september, Can't wait to look gorgeous in my bikinis! lol I'm gna have so much confidence which I just wouldn't have had before

Email me back before you go in! And don't be too nervous, it'll be absolutely fine!

Sarah

Hey

Not long now at all... bet you're nervous....

Mine weren't bandaged - only small dressings over the wounds - with the sports bra. You won't be able to see them as such. Trust me they'll hurt in the first few days anyway - my surgeon would chek me and the dressings - lift them up and see the n a dressing change before I went home then at each apt....

... The drains thing I am surprised at - that is traditionally a decision made during surgery as they see the fluid and make the decision based on that and how you seem to do during the op... so ask - as you may find they DO place drains in in the end.... they're tiny tubes andthey're ok. Though mine hurt when they pulled it out ;-)
