Hi honey

Welcome - and even if it had been asked before its ok - as its someone new asking the question for THEM.... Can I just ask you a few things first... A bit cheeky and personal lol but age, height, weight and Breast size and also reasons behind why... It can be done on NHS but they do have a wait and its qute hard to get - you need to show that the size of your breasts are affecting you physically (backache etc) and also emotionally. They won't do the op until they are satisfied you are bodiy mature and won't grow more..... Also with weight - many surgeons won't operate if you are above a certain weight - if they feel that diet and weight loss would benefit your breast reduction....

Mybreast is not one I am familiar with - though their website is very professional. Where in London are you ? I am in Finchley and have a new Harley Street Medical just opened 5 mins from my house. The staff there areLOVELY as I saw them after I had had a few issues with my previous breast augmentation. Actually - the surgeon really restored my faith that it wasn't all about money as he basically said he **could** solve my issues (at cost obviously) but felt this was the previous surgeons error and it would be unethical to take money and told me to go back to the other guy and threaten legal action... he SAVED me money!

BUPA are good and transform also have good recommendations. Have you given any thought to what size you would like to reduce to?

Hi,
Many thanks for your quick reply!!

I have been to my GP who was sympathetic, but am pretty desperate, now I am thinking will I get it on nhs or will the waiting list will be really long ? So I am exploring all options. I am mature (30) and have been suffering back problems for years ! I am quite tall 5'7" and not really overweight (could do with losing a few pounds, but who couldn't!), and am about a 32H (varies according to style). I have not even thought about what size to be, I just want to be smaller/normal - what size is normal ??

Do I need to prove mental anguish as well as back problems ? Do NHS do as good a job as private ? I would rather save up or borrow and pay to get a good job rather than do it on the cheap and have a bad job or problems, which was why I looked at mybreast as they appeared really caring and professional.

Thanks again for getting back to me x

Truthfully I think the NHS surgeons tend to spotlight as private ones too lol - I know mine does work both sectors :-)

Normal - hmmm is there such a thing. I would say that something that brings your body into proportion - though the best bet would be to let the surgeon guide you - as they are the experts. Thats what I did :-) Mind you I was going the other way.....

With NHS - yes I think (depends area to area) that if you canshow the mental anguish/back issue etc then you would be a candidate on NHS. I will ask about and see if anyone has had reduction on NHS to give you a better opinion. I do agree though - I think I'd rather pay more and know its done right...... :-)
