Hi

My name is Clare and I am 31 years old.

I suffer with really dry skin, can anyone recomend a good face cream for dry skin?

Also my legs and arms get dry esp in the colder weather. Should I exfoliate? I never have done this before, does it help? I currently use aqueous cream in the bath as a cleaner as I found all the dry creams were not enough even using them daily

Any ideas would be grateful

Hi Clare

Dry skin does benefit from exfoliation whether on your face or your body, the reason for this is when you put on your moisturiser or body lotion, you are trying to rehydrate the dead dry skin cells on the surface rather than where it is needed. By removing the dry dead skin you can moisturise the newer skin cells underneath.

Drink plenty of water to help moisturise from the inside, taking royal jelly capsules can also improve skin, hair and nails, however I have never tried this. Skin is always dryer in the colder weather you could use a loofah in the bath or shower which will help, have you tried applying baby oil to wet skin? That also makes a big difference.

If you have very dry skin you will need to exfoliate at least 3 times a week. Once your skin has improved, once or twice a week is usually enough.
