Hi everyone,

How's it going? I promised Dawnie I'd nip in as she's super busy, so here I am!

1. Do you own anything that has long since stopped being useful but you can't bring yourself to get rid of it?

2. Has anyone in your life turned out to be really helpful in a way you would never have thought?

3. If you're working in a group, in what capacity are you most useful?

4. What’s something you own that you didn’t think much of but later became surprisingly useful?

5. What is the most useful book in your house?

I'll get the ball rolling!

1. Do you own anything that has long since stopped being useful but you can't bring yourself to get rid of it? - Yes, I have a gorgeous skirt that's a size 14, I am a size 8 and doubt it'll ever fit, but I love it so much I like to look at it from time to time, lol.

2. Has anyone in your life turned out to be really helpful in a way you would never have thought? - Hmmmm, yes, I randomly met someone at university and we've remained friends and he has been a great source of legal information since he retrained and got a law degree!

3. If you're working in a group, in what capacity are you most useful? - Distilling lots of ideas into one workable thing. Or carrying heavy things.

4. What’s something you own that you didn’t think much of but later became surprisingly useful? - I bought this ridiculous wool shawl thing about 9 years ago and didn't use it until we were getting out of debt and didn't have the spare cash to fix the boiler so I started wearing it round the house when it was cold! Now it's one of my favourite winter things.

5. What is the most useful book in your house? - "Trade Secrets" it has all manner of tips about all manner of things. Very useful!

Great Questions!

1. Do you own anything that has long since stopped being useful but you can't bring yourself to get rid of it?

Oh yes, I have at least 2 broken laptops which I keep (why I do not know) I have broken ipods which I keep meaning to take to the shop that buys them. I have like you the most GORGEOUS skirt which I bought about 8 years ago which is totally still amazing but no longer fits. I still keep it though, it fits me at least once a year lol.

2. Has anyone in your life turned out to be really helpful in a way you would never have thought?

Um...Im always surprised by how awesome my family are, that sounded very American didn't it. But its strange sometimes you have them pigeonholed and then you realise that they have had their own lives prior to you and quite often have a lot of knowledge. I think more people should get to know their family properly. lol i sound like a Hallmark card..

3. If you're working in a group, in what capacity are you most useful?

Im always the one with the pen organising everyone's ideas and then probably doing the presentation. I like to see myself as a 'facilitator' lol.

4. What’s something you own that you didn’t think much of but later became surprisingly useful?

Probably my crocs. I bought them yonks ago and never honestly thought I would wear them and then I found myself in Rome, in summer heat and I had my crocs in my bag, I swear they were a revelation. I marched round Rome for miles without any sore feet. And yes its unusual for me because Im quite swish about my footwear but they are now all blinged up with gemstones etc. But when walking in the heat they were an absolute lifesaver and I enjoyed the trip about 100 times more than I would have without them cos I had no sore feet and I was able to walk for miles and miles.

5. What is the most useful book in your house?

I have a book which was given to me for Christmas a couple of years ago, its called 'How to walk in High Heels' and it has a guide to everything, from how to throw a dinner party, to how and what to sing at karaoke, through wearing hats and proper email etiquette and playing poker. It is always very useful when Im having trouble with something!

Also I've had a Cosmopolitan subscription for a few years and I keep them after reading. They are always filled with helpful info from job strategies, beefing up your cv, to personal enrichment etc. Very helpful.
