Hi Jackie I have never joined the classes as first of all I started the RC diet thing many years ago and far away where there were no classes and these days I just pop back on it for a few weeks whenever the weight starts to creep on or my clothes are feeling tight. I know that I am prone to weight gain and love my food so it is inevitable that it will start to catch up on me if I don't keep it in check by revisiting the diet. I first started with the Rosemary Conley Hip and Thigh Diet. The main aim is to cut out as much fat as possible and stick to meals that are less than 5% fat. The book has a list of forbidden foods, and a list to eat in moderation. There were a lot of times over the years where I have not been able to prepare my own meals and have had to work to fit the diet around the food available to me so the forbidden foods list really helped me. When I am following the diet I am always checking food labels for the fat content. You should also aim to exercise for at least 20 minutes 5 times a week. I garden, cycle and walk a lot anyway so don't normally add extra exercise when I am dieting. Last year I picked up the RC GI Jeans Diet book from a charity shop for about 50p so I can certainly recommend that as a good way to start. Also the magazines have a lot of tips and ideas to get you started. Good luck, let us know how you get on. Ana
