i've done the cambridge diet and it is the best thing i ever did in my whole life. yes you get headaches initially for the first week or so and you initally feel hungry but the headaches are because of the carbs and your body is detoxing and then ketosis kicks in. when this happens you do not feel hungry, you get a well being feeling, you're full of energy and raring to go. water is very essential when doing this diet as you are not getting your water from food. i lost 5 1/2 stone in 5 months. my body shape changed and i lost weight from areas of my body that i've never ever lost weight form before on any diet. you can not cheat on VLCDs as you start to feel lousy quickly.

my first week i lost 9lbs then 6lbs then around 4 to 5 lbs a week after that for a few more weeks before settling down to around 3lbs a week. there's no other 'normal' diet around that can do that for you other than a VLCD. WW doesn't work for me neither do any of the other conventional diets - they take too long and you just don't get the results quick enough to stick to them.

with the cambridge diet - as long as you're not on medication and you bmi isn't over 40 you do not need yours GP's approval but your CDC will write to your dr to inform them.

totally and utterly life changing! i wanted to loose a little more but i got pg.

p.s it is so much cheaper than lighter life - works out around £37 per week for 3 shakes a day or £47 a week for 4 shakes a day. no mumbo jumbo group meetings talking about why people over eat!
