October GI news has been published. There is a link to a New York Times article by Michael Pollan, author of In Defence of Food (you know, the guy whose mantra is "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."), which comments on the recent film Julie and Julia, and the decline of cooking in the US along with the rise of cookery and food programmes (true here, too, don't you think?). There is an article on why tomatoes are so good for us, with a recipe for a fresh tomato sauce, a couple of other recipes including one for a creamy bean soup that sounds to die for (I plan on making this very soon indeed!). Other interesting articles, of course, and a link to a silly game about portion control.
