I bought a Montane featherlite marathon jacket yesterday.  It was recommended as an 'autumn' jacket for light shower and wind protection.

It is fab, really light weight and breathable and kept me warm.  It did repel some water but as it is not meant to be fully waterproof I think it did a great job.  Only £29.99 from my local outdoor shop too, bargain!
