Hi Girls

Well i've been suffering lately with aching joints mainly elbows and shoulders also knee's....

So decided on friday to drop weights down in pump class.  The tracks are quite long so you do more reps than you would normally and i think the heavy weights are putting too much pressure on my joints plus i didn't lose any weight this week at slimming world.

Anyway i've done 2 classes on lower weights and the pain has stopped.  I'm still getting a good workout and can complete all the reps properly keeping my form better.

Hope everyone's well

von x

Hi Von,

I'm really glad to hear that, it's not a competition so it's good you're listening to your body. Good technique is far better than amount of weight - it's about a healthy body for life, not just a toned body now afterall :-)

Hi Von

haven't been to pump for over two weeks but I agree with what you say re the weights. I know its encouraged to increase them to progress but I think you are right to consider the impact on your joint etc. Do you lift quite heavy now ?

Scarlett x
