Hi, I really hope that someone can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong.

I've been trying to loose weight for about 6 weeks now. I'm following SW EE, although I'm not attending classes anymore, as I've jointed the gym too, and couldn't justify the cost of both. I am working reasonably hard at the gym. I warm up 5 mins on x trainer, then treadmill 1.5 mile jog, 8 more mins on x trainer and then weights an abs. (They said at my gym assessment I needed to loose 2.5 stone to get into normal weight range.) In the past 6 weeks I've - put on 2 lb, lost 2lb, put 1lb on again. A typical days  food would would be Break - beans on brown toast, Lunch left overs from previous night eg spag bol, and tea maybe chilli on Jacket pot. If it was just that I'm changing shape and no weight loss I wouldn't mind, but I tried a top on yesterday that fit me a few months ago, and now can hardly do it up. What on earth am I doing wrong?????? PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I JUST GIVE UP, I'M SOOOOOO FED UP!!!! Does EE not work very well or is it just me doing stuff wrong. I admit I don't strictly count syns, but reckon on average I have about 7 - 10 a day, sometimes less

hi babe

with the ee are u filling ur plate with a 1/3 speed foods? plus i would start writting down a food diary or at least the sins u r having.

the other thing is that u might be bulking up with the weights u r doing, which is why ur top did not fit.

hi Mel,

Its so frustrating when you feel you are doing so well food wise but then dont see any results. I think it may help if you start to write a food diary and keep count of your syns. Its really easy to misjudge how many you have had, could this be happening to you? not really sure what else to suggest as im only getting back into SW after having DS2. For your spag bol/chilli etc are you using extra lean mince or normal beef mince, maybe little things like that can contribute.

Message: thanks for your replies. I think I will have to write everything down, I have a sneaky feeling that I might be kidding myself about how many sins I actually have, eg not counting sugar in my coffee. My the way, how many syns for a spoon of sugar? My SIL has borrowed my book grrrr... I try to bulk my meals out with as many veg as poss. I did red/green days before, but I found it such a clat that I ended up giving in. I am going to be extra strict this week and see what happens.
