Just a quickie........ I just wanted to say I'm sorry I haven't been on the board as much over the past few weeks - but I hurt my back and it really was getting me down - enough to put me in a non motivational mood, as I was really not that concerned with my diet and exercise.

Unfortunately that then rubs of onto my visits to the board.

Luckily my back seems to be starting to easea bit with the help of painkillers etc.

So even though i am not being very supportive at the moment - keep it up ( those of you that are still sticking with the challenge) and hope to get back into a good frame of mind soon!

Message: Hi Helen, Probably the most motivational thing to do when you're in real pain is work hard at being free from it and little else tends to matter. Glad your back pain is diminishing. I've only had really bad back pain once and I couldnt sit down and coudnt stand up for more than three minutes at a time so hugs and all that

Hi Helen

Sorry to hear you've not been very well. Don't worry about us - get yourself well first.

Thanks for nice thoughts all!

As i said in my other post i decided to stop the painkillers doc gave me as they made me feel worse! I am back to the Ibruprofen which is helping.

Also doc recommended a book to me that i have bought and I must admit that it is really helping to. It's called "Treat Your Own Back" by Robin McKenzie - and I really would suggest you buy it or borrow it from the library if you have back problems too - a few very basic, but effective exercises and pointers.
