Hello,

I was just looking for some advice.  I'm a new mum to a 5 month old, and have the dreaded jelly belly!

I walk a lot and try to swim once a week but I feel all the loose skin and blubber etc is around my stomach and I just hate it!  It's making me rather depressed so I was thinking of asking for a Wii fit for my birthday next month - are they any good?  I'm looking for sucess stories here to motivate me!

I've had a look at powerplates too and thought of buying a running machine but I don't really have the space in the house for them - and I don't want it to be a 2 week wonder, I need something that I'm going to stick at and work!

TIA

Jillian

I won't say the wii fit has helped me loose the loose skin, but it has helped me loose some of the weight around my tummy. And thats with me not being truly dedicated to it, more interested in tyhe games lol

The best thing about the wii fit is that you can adapt it to you. A lot of the muscle workouts and yoga are amazing for toning tums and legs etc. Even the yoga which I will admit I kind of poo-poo'd at, its amazing how much you hurt the next day, so it must be working lol

The aerobics section has things like jogging, boxing and step which are great all round workouts for weightloss or fitness.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting to loose weight and even tone target areas. Then there are the games which are just fab lol

Any other questions, let me know and if you do get one, let us know what you think

Hugs

Dear Mrs_Boo

Hello.. I can totally understand your frustration. I have two children 12 and 9. In the early days though there were challenges!!

I am envisaging that time could also be a factor for you with a small one.. do you have help so that it will allow you to exercise without distractions?

Think of something that you enjoy doing... Exercise should be fun. ... Mindset pays a huge part in starting an exercise program and continuing.  Dietary intake also plays a role....Time may be a slight constraint but it is achievable.. 3-5 times per week... 20-60 mins depending on your individual circumstances.  The "Jelly belly" as you affectionately call it will be decreased and toned very quickly based on the above.  Cardiovascular/Strength/Endurance and Flexibility... Exercise is a great way to release endorphins too! You may wish to engage a trainer.. or ask a trainer to design a program for you.

Good Luck

xxxxxxxx
