I was just thinking about this and thought it would make a good post. Does anyone have any resolutions for next year? Here are mine -

To lose weight - ideally 3 stone - & take better care of my health.

To start driving lessons (& hopefully pass my test).

To start making more of my free time & thus improve my self confidence by giving me more to talk about.

To phone my Mum more regularly.

To generally be more positive & also procrastinate less.

They have been much the same for the last few years, but hopefully this year I can find it in me to achieve them!

All the best
Mic

Good idea for a thread Mic!

Mine are:

1. Maintain weight loss

2. Get fit and start running again.

3. See my best friend more often - she's had a rough time lately and I need to make more time for her.

Hiya...have been having a think about this. My main aims for 2006 are:

- reach final weight target, about 8lbs away.

- thereafter to maintain weight loss and establish healthy eating habits for life.

- continue with exercise bike and weights, aim to tone up and again establish some habits for life.

- make more effort to practice violin and piano, i am slowly losing these skills which i dont want to happen. must choose some nice pieces to learn.

- try to think more about other people and less about myself, with all the weight loss business this year, although have done quite well, have become a little self-obsessed! Need to see the big picture a bit more.

Good luck to all with your resolutions for next year!

Hi Wiz,

I like to play mainly classical. I used to try some more modern stuff on the piano but i'm not very good at it.

On the violin I prefer classical, but at one point i used to play some folk music, that was a good laugh. I loved listening to Vanessa Mae, i thought her classical fusion type music was great.

I only have a keyboard to play on, not a real piano so its not so good, however i recently bought a sustain pedal for the keyboard to try and encourage me to get back into it - does sound better now.

Once you leave home/start working or whatever tho, its hard to keep up with it, i'm sure you find the same!
