i dont know where to start really, im so fat and unhealthy i feel very depressed about it all. im just 33 and look and feel like im 50. ive only a couple of things that fit me and they look horrendous and so mumsy iykwim?

i try to be good every day but the slightest thing can send me backwards again and ive started getting a few "funny" comments at work about my weight from a creepy sexsit pig whose very anti-fat and anti-women. i cannot stand this man as hes very controlling in other ways too and generally makes my life miserable. im going to end up kicking him in the balls if he carries on lol. i wont really but boy i wish i could!

im feeling very despondant, i dont get much help from home either, im treated as a slave so it seems, they have no consideration for my feelings at all, as long as theyre sorted then bugger me! i tried talking to hubz tonight about my day, and halfway through a sentence he started chatting to one of his friends over the microphone :( makes me wonder wtf am i here :(

Oh dear, you are not in a good way, are you?

First things first - report the man making inappropriate remarks to your supervisor at once. You absolutely don't have to put up with that, nor should you.

I don't think husbands ever listen - mine doesn't, or not very often, anyway. I've found that if he is sitting in front of his computer or the television (or usually both), it's hopeless, but in the car, there's a faint chance he'll take in what I'm saying. And don't let anybody make a slave out of you - you all live in the house, you all need to help take care of it. And anybody who wants (say) a glass of water and is old enough to get a glass and use the tap can be told that they know where the tap is! Or if they complain the bathroom basin is dirty, they can be told to clean it themselves!

As for eating and weight - that's never so easy. But it really isn't about being "good", you know - it's about eating sensibly most of the time, but leaving yourself plenty of wiggle room. Home cooking is the best (and don't pander too much to people's individual likes and dislikes, or you'll end up cooking separate meals for everybody. Everybody can have one, or at the most two, foods they absolutely won't touch, fair enough, but for the rest - eat it or go hungry!), with plenty of vegetables and whole grains.

But the most important thing of all is to stand tall and be proud of yourself. A happy, confident woman always looks good, no matter what her figure!

Hugs first of all, I think you need them!

Secondly, everything I've learned that is worth keeping in mind about weightloss I've learned here. You have stumbled upon a group of people who understand what you are going through!

Stay around, get to know us, and don't beat yourself up because you don't need or deserve it!

I have to vanish now for a bit but I couldn't read your post and not respond.

Sorry to hear how you're feeling.  I'm also 33 and feel similar.  Sorry to hear about the sexist idiot at your work too.

I've just started a buddy system with Stace on here.  If you'd also like to buddy up with me too, I'd be more than happy to help.

Hugs,
Luce

So sorry to hear how you're feeling. I do feel the same way and I am 22. I am sick of trying on clothes that just look god awful on me! It really drains your confidence.

Feel free to join in as our buddy, as luce has already said - we have buddied up. The more support the better!

Good luck and keep thinking positive - the guy at your work is just an ignorant pig. I know it's hard, but please don't listen to a word he says. Keep your head high and your goals in sight :)
