Message: My lodger bought a sandwich toaster at the weekend. I had one yonks ago but threw it out as it had been neglected so many years I thought it was taking unnecessary space in the cupboard. But we are really into it at the moment.

He just made one with cheese and pepperoni slices, and I had tuna-mayonnaise with a sprinkling of orgeano and a few slices of tomato and onion

FAB

anyone got any more ideas for fillings?

I remember using mine to death for a while and then didn't use it for ages, so threw it out, now you've got me really wanting one! lol

I used to love egg in mine, just used to crack an egg and season with salt an pepper (only really works with the grills that seal the edges of the sandwich together).

I wasn't really adventurous cos the kids and OH loved cheese and ham, cheese and onion and cheese and tomato.

Thinking about the ingredients I use now I would probably do something like mozzerella, oven dried chilli tomatoes and rocket
