Of course there are loads more...health grills, sandwich toasters, deep fat fryers, tefal actifry, omelette makers, blenders, rice/pasta cookers etcc... not forgetting the kettle!
So which couldn't you live without & which sits at the back of your cupboard never being used!
I for one am a sucker for kitchen gadgets & appliances, lakeland being one of my favourite shops but i have to admit to rarely using a lot of the things i buy so nowadays i do try & resist the temptation as there's very little space left in my cupboards!
Funnily enough my kettle probably gets the least use as i dont drink coffee/tea, but i feel i need to keep it incase I get bombarded with people coming over who want a cuppa :P most of the time it justs sits collecting dust though!

Hi, If you're a fan of Lakeland you'll have seen my favourite gadget - the Remoska. OMG, I love it sooooooooo much, I get a bit evangelical about it. The best £88 I've spent in a long time. My oven is not great, and it uses loads of electricity so I hated putting it on. Now I use the remoska virtually every day for bread, pizza, scones, cake, jacket potatoes, stew, curry, chilli, pies, pasta bake if you can go in the oven it can go in one of these. Love it, love it love it. The only downside is that I bought the standard and not the grande. The least used thing has just vacated the premises, my breadmaker, better and easier by hand imo. Now we don't eat meat I don't use my slowcooker as much as I used to but they're still fab. ************************************************* ***A goal without a plan is just a wish. Hi Sam,
yes i have often considered getting a remoska, i nearly got the baby one as i only cook for myself but i dont think they do it anymore so had decided against it. You have made me consider getting one again though...oh dear this thread could have been a mistake to start as i am trying to buy less gadgets, not more lol!!
I have a slow cooker but also dont use it much because i dont eat meat, i liked the idea of them though so got a small one form lakeland for one/two people but problem is i dont find it that slow at cooking. When i have tried it a few times everything has been cooked in 2-3 hours even on the low setting :S
As for a bread maker, that is another thing i am currently thinking about but i dont think i'd use it enough. I like the novelty of these things at first but then it soon wears off & i wont use it. Oops..I'm sounding like a kid with toys!

Hi, I think the thing with both the remoska and the slowcooker is that bigger is better! There are only two of us but I have a large slowcooker, purely so I can make a big batch of whatever and put it in the freezer, cooking smaller amounts didn't really work for me either. Do they not make the baby remoska anymore, that's a shame, but if you buy the splitter pan thingamy you might be ok with the standard as you can do a full meal in there, veg or whatever in one side and your main dish on the other. I'm faaaaar too stingy to buy any of the extra pans but I do put things in a small silicone baking dish to keep them separate and it works well. Breadmakers imo are great in theory but not as great in practice, if you have a bowl, a towel and somewhere warm you're probably better off just doing it yourself. Plus it's more fun/theraputic! ************************************************* ***A goal without a plan is just a wish. Antoine de Saint-Exupery ***
