Hi Everyone,

Just stumbled on your board...hope you don't mind me posting.

About a week ago i noticed a large raised vein on my right breast from the top right down to the nipple, kind of central.  ( I do have huge boobs so this is quite big) then it goes smaller just above the nipple and into a bit of a lumpy spiral...hard to explain really.  I do have quite lumpy boobs anyway, but this if completely different.

Anyway, off i go to the Docs looking for reassurance......she seemed as confused as me....don't know whether this is a ploy to just not say anything?  Anyway, she's referred me to the breast clinic under the two week rule.  Now I wouldn't have know about the '2 week rule' apart from the fact that I'm a GP's receptionist, so this has made me much much worse.

Has anyone else heard/experienced anything similar to this?  Im so very scared, can't concentrate, getting tetchy and grumpy with the kids.  As I'm sure you all know, this takes over every waking thought.  Didn't realise I would react in this way.  Fighting the tears all the time.  Only me and my hubby know about it and he's being sooo positive, but he's just getting on my nerves :(  My appointment is the 15th July, seems an age away.  How will I cope if it's bad news?

Thanks in advance, and once again, sorry for just jumping in x

as far as your veiny boobs go, i have them oo.. so much more exaggerated in pregnancy and after but i totally understand what your decribing up until the point of he lumpy bit.

it could possibly be a blocked vein where it kinks slightly so as making it feel much more pronounced???

hopefullyy your appointment comes around really quickly and maybe you will be able to enlighten us?

I know your scared, i dont know any lady finding a lump of any kind not being.... but please try to remain positive.somehow you have to get through the next few weeks untill hopefully your breast clinic can see you and again hopeully tell you it is nothing to worry about.

take care honey and remember... if you want to talk you could even message me privatly through my profile. x
