Hi

I'm new to this board, but my mum has posted about her sister/my aunt, who has lung cancer with secondaries in the pancreas and brain.

I saw her - my aunt - tonight for the first time in a couple of weeks. She has lost a lot of weight and her face is very puffy from the steroids she's taking. She's in a lot of pain.

It was awful to see her looking so frail. She was a very healthy person who ate well and looked after herself, so she doesn't even look like herself now. I felt so sad for her and her lovely husband.

She has completed her chemo and is due to start radiotherapy in a few weeks. I am praying for her, and would appreciate all positive thoughts, prayers and good wishes anyone can offer us.

As you will see this is a very quiet board, with more than a few lurkers who come here for information though. Your aunt is already on my positive vibes list - praying is not something I go in for. She does sound like a fighter despite what I understand is a fairly poor prognosis.
