Message: Hi Everyone,

Had second counselling appointment this morning. Thought it went well and we talked about alot of different things, he gave me some exercises to do too which make me feel a bit more like I'm getting somewhere.

Why do I feel so down then?? Loads of things are going through my head, I'm back at work now but can't concentrate.

Online guy got back in touch over the weekend. Was really pleased with myself cos I stuck up for myself and didn't fall to pieces and tell him I missed him. I actually used the phrase 'I deserve better' don't know where that came from! Was feeling good about that but now feel kinda empty.

The counsellor did tell me I might feel worse when I leave sometimes so I guess its just going over old memories.

Just want to go home now.

Message: Hiya Cat,

Sometimes when I've let a lot of stuff out into the open - I find myself feeling really down - especially if it's something I've not spoken about for a while.

Like your counsellor said - going over old memories. Within time you'll be feeling less down about it,

Take care

Message: Hi Cat,

A couple of things for you to think about sweetie.

First, you went to your 2nd counselling session and thought it went well, so that is good for a start. The exercises really do make a difference, they have to me.

Counselling is never easy as we open ourselves up and lots of emotions and feelings that we may not have thought about in so much detail before do come to the surface. I have often left my sessions feeling a bit down too, due to the enorminty of it all. But is soon passes.

Just take your time at work, don't put yourself under too much pressure, let those thoughts ride over you or tell them to go away.

The on line guy, did he explain why he is back in touch again? How do you really feel about him getting back in touch? Is it what YOU want? You do deserve better and did well to say so.

Hugs

Message: Thanks Ang and Catkats for that,

I'm home now and feeling kinda empty and numb really. Not sad but not happy.

Catkats, online guy said that he has been down over the last few weeks. He said he has been drinking alot and feeling all over the place basically. I can understand this thats why I talked to him and agreed to meet up but I also told him that it doesn't entitle him to treat me like that and I don't expect him to let me down again. I was very surprised that he got back in touch but also confused. Have to admit I was pleased too. I do want to meet him just to see how we feel then but I am not going to get in touch with him and I've told him this. It's up to him, I feel okay about it whatever happens.

Am slowly realising I don't need rubbish in my life, can manage to get by on my own.

Message: Hi there hun, (((((HUGS)))))

I had my first CBT session a couple of weeks ago and although it went well at the end of the night I was feeling very stressed/derpessed and cut my arm, I think that it is because you are finally unearhing your motions and fears/feelings/etc and it can be overwhelming.

Takecare Cat,
