Hi Julie,

you aren't alone, not in having a restricted diet and not in getting a bit down and frustrated about it some times.

I'm allergic to sulphites and dairy and sometimes its very hard.  My husband and I both had Hep A jabs on Monday cos we're going to Egypt.  He can't feel his whereas my arm is so swollen I can't bear to wear long sleeves.  It felt so unfair that I ate a load of milk chocolate and made myself sick!

You sound far more sensible about things than I am.  By all means use the boards to share your experiences, I think its great that there's a community of adult sufferers on here because I find most people only think children have allergies or that it all begins and ends with peanuts.  Hopefully we'll be able to support each other and offer help and advice to others too.

Great to hear from you, Cat
