Message: Hello!

I don't think you have anything to hide or be embarrassed about. I think I have long labia (I've never actually mesured myself, but they seem rather long to me), and I have never had any problems with them whatsoever. I must admit, I was a bit worried about them when I was learning about sexuality and all that, but ever since I've been sexually active I've stopped worrying. None of the boys I've been with (and there have been a fair few (I'm not bragging!)) have ever complained or commented on them. In fact one of my boyfriends liked to suck them! Anyway, I soon found out that this was perfectly normal and had nothing to worry about at all. I am even one of these girl who likes waxing myself brazilian style, as I don't see the need to hide them!

I don't think you should operate, and as somebody else wisely mentioned before, your boyfriend loves you for who you are as a whole.

Good luck and don't worry!

Message: Everyone's vaginas are different shapes and sizes. Ask any doctor and they'll say they've never seen two the same. Lots of women feel self-conscious about their bodies and I think it's really normal to go through feelings of insecurity and doubt about the sensitive parts of one's body - boobs and fanny. But, I'd really try to think more positively about your vagina. I'm sure there's no reason for concern and like the other's have said surgery is not only drastic, but could be very expensive and painful too.

To prove you're not alone with your embarrassment, here's a recent question a member sent Dr Sarah Brewer. Vagina Concerns

Take care.
