I have a hard, sore, red lump on my outer lip down below on the outside of mylip. It hurts, uncomfortable when I sit down because it rubs against my underwear. What is it, how can I get rid of it?

Hi Sophia,

All i would suggest is that if you are worried you should go and see your GP about it, don't be embarrassed, they have seen it all a hundred times before.

Message: I had a cyst before and it went away ok by its self but it wasnt as big as this one. I am not worried but its very uncomfortable and sort. I am a bit worried about going to the doctor/nurse because I keep myself hairless sometimes and I don't want to them to think I am weird!

Hi

I wouldn't worry too much, from what you have said it could be an ingrown hair, sometimes they work themselves out, but if it carries on then see the doctor as you could get an infection. and they have definitely seen it all before and won't think you are weird at all.
