Hi,

For a while now i've had bad stomach troubles: Bloating, gas, flutting movements, constipation, sharp pains to the side of the belly and I find it un-bareable if I have any pressure on my stomach. I've been to the dr on several occassions and they relate it to stress which triggers IBS.

It can get worse when I do get stressed but i'm not constantly stressed. I've experimented with food (food and feeling diary), exercise and different vits but nothing is helping I can't remember a day when I didn't have something and just felt good.

Does anyone know of any wonder drugs or just advise would be very much appreciated.

IBS can be a tricky one that different things help different people, i would normally suggest a food diary to see if you can find any obvious trigger but you have and haven't found anything.

If pain or stomach spasms are a problem your GP can prescribe something to help with that, sorry i couldn't be much help.

Hugs

Has anyone heard of or used www.feelgoodagain.co.uk?

They do allergy testing so wondered if this would be worth doing.

I can TOTALLY relate to you, I feel like crap all the time.
At first I assumed it was a gynae problem (as i have irregular periods as well, but after several horrible exams, the only conclusion they could come to was IBS.

Have you tried Colpermin? It's peppermint oil in capsules, sometimes I find it does the trick but I'm the same as you- just want a day without tummy ache or feeling sick!
Also, if you can stomach it, peppermint tea helps ease the cramping feeling in my sides.

good luck xx

Hi, As the doctor hasn't helped me I have had a test for food intolerance on Saturday which told me I had an intolerance to Wheat and lacking in Magnesium and Chromium (Check out www.feelgoodagain.co.uk therapist Donna Brown). So I have started a wheat free diet - I may not notice big differences until about a month being on the diet and I have been advised to continue the diet for 3 months thenm I maybe able to reinterduce wheat after this time.

I hope this is my answer to the symptoms. I've also cut out sugar.
