Message: Anyone here get a sudden sweat on waking-i am 47 and wonder about peri meno-however getting nasty palpitations on going to sleep and waking too. Thought these sweats were supposed to be at night-like middle of night etc?

Hi Nigela,

sorry, those night sweats can happen any time during the day or night. I think they are more draining at night because of sleep desturbance, etc. They can happen at any time and can range from feeling mildly warm to looking like you have had a bucket of water poured over you.

The palpitations are another side effect of the peri meno but do see your GP if they cause you any concern.
