Message: Hi Ladies. I'm 49, and am sure I'm experiencing perimenopause. I've had flushes, but luckily, sage tablets seem to have stopped them. My periods were pretty erratic for about a year, but I started taking Menopace, and they seemed to return to their normal cycle. However, my last period was 22nd August,so nearly 9 weeks since I've had one. The last 7 to 10 days, when I turn over onto my side in bed, I feel nauseous. Have any of you experienced this? I've been feeling nauseous on and off during the day-haven't actually been sick. Yesterday, I started to get some AF-type pain, and assumed it was on the way,but nothing yet.I'm so fed up!! Am I normal(whatever that is)!! How long could I wait before it shows?or is that like 'how long is a piece of string?'. I don't mind carrying towels etc around with me-always best to be prepared, but it's SO frustrating not knowing when it's coming. I suppose I should try and ignore it,getting stressed won't help. Many thanks in advance for your advice,Jillyxx

Hi Jilly,

I think you are definitely perimenopausal and with that, everything is normal, if you see what I mean.  I am afraid you will have to be like a boy scout, be prepared LOL. It can be a pain.

You might find you experience period pains, etc at times when you normally would have expected your period, even if it doesn't arrive. That's normal too. I do always suggest though, that if you have anything that worries you, please go and check it with either your GP or your practice nurse.

Jillxx
