I've got my appointment to see Dr Maksoud tomorrow morning so wish me luck girls that the meds are still okay and dont need adjusting again.  I know he will tell me off cos I have put on 6lb (not really but I feel like he should lol).  I also had my B12 injection today so fingers xxx I will feel more energetic by the end of the weekend.  Will update you all later.

OUt of interest how did you find your endocrinologist?

My darling husband found Dr Maksoud (dont know how probably the internet) because I was having so much trouble with my weight and health and we went to see him initially for my pcos and it was he who discovered that I have an underactive thyroid too.  It cost about £3k for initial stuff including an overnight stay in hospital and it is about £100 for each follow up appointment (I see him every 4 months) but he is worth his weight in gold.  He has also sorted out my migraines and my excess hair growth (totally gone!).

He works from the Park Hospital, Arnold, Notts but also has an NHS clinic at the Kings Mill Hospital but I know he has a long long waiting list for that.  His website is www.consultant-endocrine.com and I would really recommend him.
