I came of the pill on August 12th and exactly 4 weeks later on 9th September I got my first period in a couple of years, which lasted 5 days. I haven't come on yet but for the past two days I have felt quite wet (sorry for TMI) and have had some cramps. As I haven't had a period for years I can't remember if this is a symptom that my period is about to start. Does any one else have this before they are due to come on?

Many women produce a watery cervical mucus before their periods start, so that in itself isn't that unusual and the cramping before effects lots of women too. Because you were on the pill for a while it may take your body a few cycles to regulate itself again and settle into a predictable pattern.

I'm certainly no expert but I would say it sounds fairly normal to me honey
