Hi there

I didn't use the Allen Carr book myself, but many people have had great success with it. I think it helps with the "mind over matter" aspect of smoking and can be a real support.

Here's a link to the site http://allencarr.com/central/

Probably worth a try.

I know most people prefer to try to quit altogether, but if you're realy struggling, how about rationing yourself to say just a few cigarettes a day for a while. Depending on how many you smoke, take a third of that number out of the packet and put them into an empty packet and only allow yourself those ones in a day.

If you succeed for a couple of weeks you'll have cut out all the habitual ones and will be well on the way to cutting out the rest.

Good luck and keep in touch
Luv Maid

I stopped smoking about 3 mnth ago after reading Allen Carr's the easy way and tbh it's been a piece of cake (just like the book promises).

Before i read Allen Carr i was on 20-30 a day, smoked for about 25 years and was convinced i wasn't strong enough to stop (and part of my mind asked 'did i really want to stop?')

I wish i could buy every smoker a copy of this book... I can't begin to explain how it works except that it alters the way you view and think about cigarettes.
To anyone wanting to stop, just know that it works and give it a try, you have nothing to lose (you can even carry on smoking whilst reading the book!)
