Best advice I can give is what worked for me after I failed my first test. PRACTISE! I know you are talking about lessons but do you practise a lot? I found in my first test I was very nervous, things didnt feel natural, I was worried on the day and I fell apart. Its very different to being on a lesson because lessons are much more reassuring, your teacher is there there are two sets of controls. I would say when I started going out with my dad at the time just driving everywhere, he would be in the passenger seat and I would drive it became easier. Every time we got in the car I would drive, even when I didnt want to. But I became used to driving, so used to it that when it came to my test I had a lot more confidence and even though I was nervous about my test the actual driving was like a habit and I didnt find it as much of a strain. I think it eased my nerves as well. The best advice I can give is get out and practise practise practise. It means you dont need to pay for tons of lessons right now, take a break from lessons and get out with another driver and practise until it feels natural. I know now seven years later what I need to do is get out and drive again its why im so nervous about starting to drive after all these years. But seriously with driving the more you practise, the easier, more natural, better your judgement, easier your maneuvers. After 4 fails I think you need to think about taking a really hard look at what is going wrong. Can you pin point what it is that has made you fail? Dawniepants
