Came across this today on my random news browsing.  I know different cultures will have different ways of doing things but COME ON! Sounds like something out of a charles dickens novel or Little house on the prairie! lol

Even when questioned the school said, and i quote!
"This is not normal. We don't do that often," ?????? oh well thats ok then!

That poor little boy seems to have suffered enough in life without being victimised in school by his teacher. IMO its just uncalled for.
Which brings up another matter. Our schools seem to have lost the power to 'punish' children (i dont just mean physically) at all for wrong doing. Is this right either? I dont suppose there is an easy answer.....
