My DS, Riley, is going in for an operation on Wednesday so I may not be about very much this week. It all depends on how he recovers, how quickly he comes home, and how panicky I am! lol! He needs to have his tonsils and adenoids removed and grommets put in, and I'm very nervous about him having a general anaesthetic where he's so young (actually it's his 4th birthday today!). But I'm sure they'll make him all better and I'm worrying about nothing!

So anyway, hope you're all well and I won't be away too long!

He had a lovely weekend (party here on Saturday and with his dad on Sunday) and he's had a fab day again today too. I don't think he's worried about Wednesday at all, but then he doesn't know all the details obviously. I'm sure the op will go ok, but I worry about the recovery period and how he'll cope with it. Still, in a couple of weeks it'll all be behind us I suppose.

I had that operation when I was a kid (I have had 3 sets of grommets!) He will be fine and if its still the same you get jelly and ice-cream after the op! Always remember that!!!

No jelly and ice cream though - they get toast now! Partly as it prevents scabbing in the throat, and partly because it scrapes any nasty bugs away. Poor little man! He can have as much ice cream as he wants once it's healing though.

Not looking forward to tomorrow, but will be glad once it's done!
