Of course I mean the three green R's - Reduce, Reuse and recycle. I thought it would be good to start a thread with some simple ideas... and maybe we'll inspire each other with things that others had not thought of before. Reduce If you drive to work try walking or taking public transport one day a week. Reuse Save toilet roll middles and use them as biodegradable plant pots. Stand them in a container such as a seed tray, fill with compost and sew as normal. When the seedlings are big enough to be planted out put the whole lot in the ground. This works really well for things like beans and sweet peas. Alternatively you can tear the tube and remove the plug and plant, then put the tube in the compost bin. Recycle Take all worn out clothes to your local charity shop. If you don't think that anyone could wear them the charity can sell them for rags. They can be shredded and used as a filling material i.e. insulation or stuffing mattresses. Rachel
