What with top celebs like Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow choosing Ethical Products such as I Conjure Candles, Aveda, and Mamma Mio and promoting a green lifestyle in interviews.
Do any of you think that this is hypocritical because of the amount of plane journeys they take ?

Hi there, good question.

Its a tricky one and on the surface yes its a bit hypocritical to promote an ethical product and then fly around the world, but I'd rather see them endorse those brands rather than the nasty ones, which deserve no advertising from me - except to say that if anyone wants to know which brands to avoid most, then follow this link.

There's a chance the celebs offset their travel and there's a chance they don't - I might see if I can find out - but if they were totally "unethical" the product producers would be unlikely to use them.   The real hope is that these celebs will get people thinking about these things on a global basis and even if it means flying across the world, the message might reach all corners.

Sorry - I sound like I'm fighting their corner, don;t mean to, just thinking it through :-)
