It's my mums birthday today. I really hate days like this cause the're really hard. I tried to carry on as normal but ended getting upset anyway. I just hope where-ever she is, she is happy.

I believe she is with you, watching over you.  It is hard facing these special days , so difficult to get through them. Some people find that marking the day with doing something like planting a tree or releasing a balloon helps them so perhaps you might find comfort from something similar.

We do end up coping better with these days eventually but meanwhile treat yourself with gentleness. Try not to look too far into thefuture but concentrate on one day at a time, it does help.

we always do something for mums birthday, go for a meal like we did when she was here and then take flowers upto here grave..... it doesnt make it easier but it does make it slightly more of a happy day. i always try to think its like mum is looking down on us, together on her birthday..... which i know she would love!!

 THE BROKEN CHAIN

We little knew that morning,

That god would call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day god called you home.

You left us peacefull memories.

your love is still our guide.

And though we cannot see you,

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

And nothing seems the same,

But as god calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.

love you mum.

Hi Debs,

Congratulations BTW!
