Hey Sarah,

Thanks for all your advice regarding our Seller's ex-partner's claim on house.
The claim has now been withdrawn and we can proceed with Exchange etc as we were a few weeks ago.
We are hoping that this is the end of the stressful bit we have no control over.
We were assured that the claim wasn't really anything to worry about but it was hard not to, so we are hoping to Complete first week of September if at all possible.

Then we just have to worry about moving and getting out of our tenancy agreement but at least they are things we have the control about not anyone else.

We haven't been told the legalities of why the claim has been withdrawn, perhaps the Seller has agreed to pay his ex the finances she was asking for or perhaps she just didn't have a claim in the first place but was just trying it on but either way we have been told the Sale can now proceed which is obviously the result we wanted.

Thanks again for your knowledgeable replies hopefully I can just bleet on about packing/unpacking, getting energy supplies sorted and all the admin that is hopefully now coming our way!

We won't believe house is ours until we have completed mind you but we are much happier at the moment.

Hi,

You are more than welcome :) I'm glad they finally sorted it. It is frustrating when you aren't given any details so your not sure of the outcome, but at least you've had a good one!

Have fun with all the moving (well as much as you can!) It's very exciting so enjoy your new home in September!
