I used to be a lurker on this board but don't get to log on very often at the moment.  I wondered if I could ask a question about feathers.

One appeared in my bathroom a couple of days ago - it looked like it had been carefully placed there, in front of the mirror on the tiles above the sink.  I couldn't figure out how it got there - it couldn't have blown in the window (from the way it was sitting).  I know they are supposed to be messages - but this one was half black, half white.  Should I be worried?  Is it a warning of bad news because it wasn't completely white??

Any ideas or comments would be appreciated.

Hi Pickle. No specific meaning to the colour of the feather. As there was no way this feather could have arrived there by chance it is more than likely a message from your guardian angel about a particular concern. Or it could be your guardian angel just reminding you that we are all part of the natural cycle in the world.

Not every event like this is a message though. I often have large feathers scattered around the house. The reason? Two year old kittens who love finding loose feathers in the garden and bringing them inside. Luckily they do seem to go for discarded feathers and don't attack birds.

Thanks for your reply.  This definitely wasn't from the cat, bless him, as his hunting skills are seriously lacking these days - too old & lazy to even try!!

I can't think of a specific message that it might be, but I am going through a time of change & healing at the moment, so maybe it's just an encouragement to keep going.  I have been seeing feathers all over the place recently, so I'm not sure which are just co-incidence & which are a message....

From my experience the "message" ones tend to turn up in unusual places. I found a tiny one stuck to my bathroom mirror the other day. I thanked my guardian angel for contacting me. Quite often too a "message" feather is a little more obvious, we will notice it suddenly.

Even the coincidence feathers though can be taken as a reminder that the world moves on in a natural cycle.
