Hello again.

Sorry another question.  My best friend has been diagnosed with cancer last week and we are obviously devastated.  She is going in for surgery in 10 days to have the tumour removed (its in her neck and thyroid) and I wanted to get her a piece of jewellery especially made for her.  I'd like it to have a crystal that promotes healing and well-being included so she can keep it with her.  Could anyone tell me what crystal would be the best or anything else that would be appropriate?

I just can't imagine anything happening to her - she is the one person who knows the real me, warts and all, and loves me regardless.

Love,

Jen XXX

Hi Jen. Three crystals which should be readily available are Smoky Quartz, Sugalite or a variety of garnet called Melanite. If she could wear one of these as a pendant it would be more effective as it would be close to the site of the cancer. She might find though that a pendant and chain around her neck would be uncomfortable after surgery so this should be borne in mind.

EDIT: you might also consider giving her a CD of healing music. This is one example and there are lots of others available on this site:

Never worry about asking questions on this board, that is how we all learn things relating to our particular spiritual path.

Thank you Tabbs

I had thought that maybe a chain around her neck might be painful so I thought of maybe a bracelet that she could wear next to a pulse point. I will look into that or I might think of a brooch or a pin as she will be wearing scarves and she could pin it on near where the cancer was (and hopefull it will be gone totally by that time).  The CD is a good idea too - she could put it on her ipod and listen to it after her op.

You are a mine of information, thank you for taking the time to reply.

Much love,

Jen XXX
