Message: Here are some cheating tips, please add more!

clean the bath and sink taps when visitors come so the bathroom looks clean without having to clean the actual bath!

this is an awful one I read in some 1950s book, but it says rub a bit of washing up liquid behind your ears, then your other half smells it, thinks you've been doing loads of cleaning and feels guilty!

anyone think of any others!

Message: Hi Alex!

I have only cleaned the sink and taps in the bathroom before, but i was in a rush!, i agree this is a good tip!

Obviously if you rinse the bath/sink every time its used, that has to be the best solution, or my partner says, just pull the shower curtain across!!!

Message: Give all your mirrors a polish esp. bathroom ones!

In the lounge wipe over your TV screen, which gets loads of dust becoz of the static.

I think the best thing to do in rooms is sit where a guest might sit and see for yourself what they can see - clean those bits first and the rest later if you have time!

The only room I keep perfect is the lounge which is my main reception room for guests.

In the kitchen a clean sink and a clean kettle look good - I hide everything else in the cupboards! LOL.

Message: I love the washing up liquid behind the ear bit - that's great!

I read one that suggests keeping your duster and polish by the door then when people pop in you can pick it up before answering the door exclaiming "I was just about to dust the lounge, but do come in" That way, they forgive any dust they see assuming they are interrupting you getting to it.

Also, I use those blue loo blocks in the toilets - it smells fresh and stops people being able to see too much of the bowl below the water line - great for unexpected visitors!

Another one I do is to make sure my machines are all running - the washer, dryer and dishwasher - that way your house sounds like you are busy and it only takes 5 mins to achieve!

Well those are all I can think of for now

Message: Sometimes I spray a little furniture polish in the air just before my husband gets home and falls for it every time!
