Hello,

I used to post on here now and again over 2 years ago when I was rediscovering my path.

I'm not sure I'd describe myself as wiccan, but I do celebrate the sabbats in my own personal way and do cast circles for meditation and do perform a few spells now and again! Generally I just feel the call and beauty of nature so amazing and captivating that I think that's why I need to celebrate!

Anyway, I've been lurking on here for ages  - I recall stopping posting simply because I didn't find the time and became pregnant and for four months was very sick!

Not that I have more time with a 13month old! But I feel like posting and popping on more recently....guess I need to reconnect a little.

Anyway that's me!

Been trying to re-energise my home recently, but I seem to have a block on this! Any suggestions welcome. I have a theory that the energy flows straight through my house rather than stays and circulates before leaving......

Hi there Jools & a very warm welcome back! So pleased you've decided to step out of lurky land!!!!

Hmmm tough one about your house... you could try cleansing your home using a smudge stick like lavender or more commonly, sage, working clockwise around your house, have all the windows open to let the negative energies out. You could perhaps make a charm pouch to hang by your front door out of herbs & what-not, adding in a crystal such as a Rose quartz or Amethyst which will help keep the the atmosphere within the house light and positive ~ speaking of which, hanging crystals in the windows will also help, plus they're pretty too!! You could then bring in a little something that represents each of the elements to try & keep things in balance?

I know what it's like to constantly feel that 'life gets in the way'! Welcome back!

It may seem a bit 'practical' but how do you use the space in your house - do you find that you and your family are just 'passing through' while on your way to other things or only really using one or two rooms? Maybe shifting some furniture around and creating 'zones' for certain activities and times of day will make the house work better for you. I find you have to use a space and create good memories in a room before it starts to feel 'right'. Maybe you could try charging some different scented candles with the qualities you want to get from each space and then light them around the house.

Thank you for your welcome!

Yes, me and DD took advantage of the autumn wind and beautiful sunlight today and together chased the energy away .... or dance dance as she called it. I decided to do a calm spell too and have burnt lavender in each room and I certainly feel at peace and re-charged!

I really like the idea of bringing in something of each element to create a balance and I think I'm going to plant some rosemary at my door.

Dexy - good idea about furniture and the notion of just passing through a space. Your post has made me think about my table! We have a through lounge and dinning room - everyone just passes through the dinning room and as we hate the table.  It has become a dumping ground for everything and anything! My DP works long hours so we don't often eat at it and it is so uniniviting. We need a new one anyway, so I think I will make that a priority and start to dress the new one.
