Hi ladies,

I know it is pretty quiet on here but I'm sure like me you pop over from time to time to offer advice!

For those of you who don't recall I decided to be a SAHM as my work wouldn't agree my flexible return to work.

Now, DP is insisting I look for a job in Jan. I'd be happy not to work for a few more years!

I have been working in PR for 7years. I've been looking at jobs over the past few months to see what the market is like and part time posts are few and far between.

In the long term, I'm thinking of returning to teaching, yes more family friendly working patterns but since having my LO I've wanted to go back and work with children.

So, are there any teachers lurking at the mo?

I have a few questions. I taught for 2 years in a primary school before leaving.

Just wondered whether the planning/assessment time has increased or decreased and whether PPA has made a difference? Do you find yourselves working additional hours in the evening/weekend to keep up?

Also, are there many opportunites for job-shares/ p/t work?

Would you advise someone to come back to teaching?

Should I do the returners course? I suspect I wouldn't get supply work now as I've been out for so long....what you reckon?

I'm struggling with whether to return now or after we've had baby number 2....who isn't on the way yet and just a thought for next year!
