Hi Vikki - I know this is not what you were asking, but it strikes me any child called Temperance is going to spend their schooldays with some nickname revolving around their "temper" and their adulthood enduring jokes about being teetotal.
If it's a choice between the two, I think India is lovely, and I'd agree with the other posters that a short middle name would be a good idea, especially as you have an unusual surname too.
