Hi girls (again)

Ok i'm still struggling for unusual names that i can get DF to agree to Grrrr

At the moment i have a specific girls name which i love, and he doesn't, but i mentioned a half way name which was Brooke and he said thats it thats the name.

Now i mentioned it as it's a pretty name for a girl and i do like it but i don't know, again, if it is THE name i've told some friends and they've all turned there noses up and one even said it was a chav name which i thought was a bit rude.

Just wanted your honest opinions full name would be Brooke Ivy Boyce, which again leaves me with a dilemma does Brooke Boyce sound silly?!? i think a 2 syllable first name would be better with a short surname or am i just being picky... i just want her to have the perfect name (should it be a she) pretty and girly but not too popular, and has to go with Riley our DS.

Any thoughts? i promise i won't be offended be as honest as you can :O)

I like the name Brooke.

I don't think it is chav at all, and trust me where I work I have heard them all!!!!

Other suggestions Freya, Ebony, Lara, Isla, & Lois.

Although I like Brooke, i am not 100% it goes with your surname, but if you and your partner like it then go for it.

i love the name Brooke but i don't think it goes with your surname. Sorry. I think with a one syllable surname you need a longer first name, and I have an irrational fear of alliteration in names too ;-)

hope i haven't offended

Hi hun, I have to agree with the other ladies I think. Brooke is a gorgeous name but it does sound harsh with a short surname, and the BB together doesn't work for me.

Could you use it as a middle name or with something else as a double-barrelled name? Maybe something with two or three syllables would work better?

Good luck deciding... hope you aren't too offended...

Take care, Laura xxx
