Hi ladies

Still feeling very much a novice WRT this whole pushchair thing, and you were so helpful last time in helping me choose my travel system that I'm back to pick your brains again!

My issue is this: the travel system is excellent and I'm very pleased with it, especially the way that I can lie the car seat flat and use it as a pram on the chassis. However, DS is already rather large and although as a car seat it's okay, as a pram it's soon not going to be that comfortable when I'm out for longer walks. He's also now more interested in looking around at things which he can't do very well whilst lying flat, and I don't like to sit the seat up for too long as I'm aware it's still a car seat even if it's on the chassis IYKWIM?! I want to start using the pushchair part except it's not parent-facing, even though it is suitable from birth.

So, I'm looking for a secondary pushchair, but one which will probably become my main one for a while if that makes sense? I don't need any of the extra travel system or carry cot etc bits with it, I just need a lightweight pushchair that's parent-facing. Do any of you have any specific recommendations? Unfortunately when searching for parent-facing pushchairs I'm getting results for travel systems where the buggy itself isn't parent-facing but when the car seat's on the chassis it is... which obviously isn't what I want! I have seen the Maxi Cosi Mura (I think that's what it was?) which looks very good and will do exactly what I want. I know it comes in a 3 (well, 4 but two front wheels together on a triangle chassis) or 4 wheeled version - which would you opt for and why? I'd most likely use this pushchair for going around town, shops etc so would the bar handle and the triangle chassis be more manoeuvrable in that situation?

Any advice and suggestions gratefully received!

Lisa x

There a plenty parent facing pushchairs out there now but the struggle you might have is finding one lighweight. The lightweight ones tend to be lightweight as they are all in one, as parent facing ones can be changed they tend to be in 2 pieces and that makes them heavier.

Another option would be ebay, Gumtree, local ads. Someone in my local paper was selling a Quinny Buzz for £30!!! I was after a Zapp so was no use to me but otherwise I would have snapped it up!

Thank you... okay I'm happy to sacrifice the lightweight bit lol

All the ones I've found so far except the Mura seem to be sold as travel systems which is frustrating, but I shall have a look at the Quinny Buzz.

Any suggestions are gratefully received as I really don't know what's good and what's not!

Theres the Loola, I have one and love it, others dont.

Mamas and Papas have quite a few, prob best to look on their website.

There is a new Graco one and a new Mothercare one that switch easy from rear to forward facing.

The Bugaboo cameleon and Bee but very pricey.

Why is it when you need to think of something nothing pops into your head! I bet as soon as I post this loads will come to mind! lol

Have fun looking around tho, thats the best bit!
