Hi,

I've only just come across this board it seems great! I have a ds who is 4 and we're expecting baby 2 in april, and I know how much hassle I had last time with prams/ pushchairs ended up with 4 so far for ds.

Well I think I have narrowed down my search to the silver cross linear freeway, my main criteria is the the pushchair is reservible, the seat converts to the pram or the carry cot fits the chassis without the pushchair seat being on there, I need an adjustable height handle bar (rather than two handles) and I want to have a buggy board for ds too, also it doesn't need to be able to be compatible with a car seat.

I seem to be going around in circles, and dp is kind of finding it hard to get excited about prams just yet! apart from one which has an ipod holder...

I did think of the loola up with the windoo carrycot, which I really like sort of preferred the all in one option and also I think a qinny might be reversible but I read it came with two seats and also you can get a carry cot too, quite a lot to store and we are very limited on space.

So really does any have advice I should think about before we go any further? I've only really found good reviews about this silver cross freeway but there must be some down sides too!

Thanks everyone,

Vicki

HI ,and welcome :0)

I have had the Linear freeway and I hated it ,I think if I hadnt had an M&P ultima on the MPX chassis then I may not have found it so horrible .It was very hard to steer and very bulky when folded .The M&P one took up a lot let space and was so much nicer to push .The SX also felt very heavy which is prob why it was hard to steer .There arent many that I dont like but that is one of them!!

hi,

thank you for replying, I read a few reviews for the loola up which said in reward facing mode it was hard to steer which is what steered me away from that, think I'll have to go shop around and put my ds in a few to try them out properly.

I also read a few reviews of the two mothercare ones which face parents to have problems with their front wheels steering properly.

thanks again,

Vicki

I havent had the Loola Up but I have had the 2 handled version ,its my 2nd fave buggy ever!!  I have only ever used mine rearfacing and once I got the knack of getting it up kerbs I had no problems with it .Most people dont realise that you need to use the grey ledge  for leveredge  to help it up kerbs ,they tend to think its just there for when you unfold it to help you put it up but its not just there for that.

Good luck and let me know what you think of them when you try them ,we have a review folder at the bottom

Hi!

I have the Silvercross Linear Freeway, I do like it but its soo bulky when folded. So much so that it really needs to be permanantly 'up'. Unfortunately I don't have the space so its in my understairs cupboard and because its a hassle getting it out I don't use it very often. I bought it because of the rear facing option too and I'm hoping to use it more in the winter for my baby girl as it is cosy, just too bloody bulky to store lol!

Shop around and see what you think!
