...but I'm planning on continuing to use disposable wipes with my cloth nappies and suddenly wondered what I'd do with the used wipes after changing LO's nappy, lol! With disposable nappies the wipes go in the dirty nappy and then in the nappy wrapper, but I don't want to be using the nappy wrapper or a nappy sack just for a couple of wipes.

I suppose wipes used when the nappy is just a wet one could go in to the rubbish bin in the kitchen (?), but I don't fancy putting pooey wipes in there. Would you maybe have one nappy sack that you add dirty wipes to throughout the day and then throw it out at the end of that day, or something else?

Sorry if this is a silly question and the answer is an obvious one, but I'll blame my preggy brain :O)

Hey hun,

I've been wondering the same thing...as I am also still wanting to use disposable wipes (they're are a godsend and I'd certainly be lost without babywipes, lol).

I've also been wondering this with Jessica when she's pooing on the potty now. I don't like using toilet paper with her as she doesn't stand still long enough to wipe her whereas with wipes they're so much easier but I've heard you can't flush these down the loo as the drain will block.

I've been wrapping the wipe with loo paper then putting them in a plastic carrier bag or nappy bag. So I may just continue along this route unless I am missing something more obvious...in which case I'll blame the preggy brain as well pmsl.

Luv & Hugs

Daft response but I'd just do whatever works for you :) I don't think there is a right answer.

Personally if it's just a pee that I've used one wipe for then I do usually flush it (I know, I know how bad that is!) sometimes I bin it, it just depends on where I am etc. If it's a poo I've wiped then I generally use a nappy sack and stick it straight in the outside bin. I know some might see that as defeating the purpose of being eco friendly with reusables but for me it's just *too* convenient. Mind you, if we're home and it's a particularly horrible poo then the only thing that gets rid of it sometimes is a washcloth so I do a bit of everything.

I also carry nappy sacks around with my anyway in case he needs his nappy changed while we are out, stick the dirty one in there to stop the smell spreading then put it in the bucket when we get home and bin the nappy sack.

Hiya hun,

With Joe's bum wipes (lol) I just wang them in the nappy wrapper, but once Charlie's out of nappies I'm hoping to get rid of that. You can get the likes of Kandoo wipes, which are flushable one at a time, but expensive. I'll have a look in Wilko's for the flushable wipes that someone else has suggested though, either that or I'll maybe look in to using washable wipes and maybe only using them for Fidget?

I'm not quite sure how it all works with washable wipes though, which is probably why I've not really thought about using them, plus I think that getting my head (and DH's head) around one reusable thing at a time is all I can handle at the moment, lol!
