Hi Nikki,

I can't speak from experience of using the nappies, but I've bought my stash ready for my baby in Feb/March and have a mixture of one size all in ones and the sized nappies (with wraps).

The AOI's I have are Wonderoos and Fuzzi Bunz and they do seem very bulky, although the Wonderoos moreso than the FB's. I'm not even sure if I'll be using them on baby to start off with as I fear s/he will get lost in them, and I'm even considering selling the Wonderoos on before having used them as their pure bulkines has put me off using them already. The sized ones that I have are the Tots Bots original cotton nappies and Little Lambs microfibre ones with Mother-ease rikki wraps, and they don't seem that bulky at all.

Anyway, not sure if I've helped at all, but I hope that you find something less bulky for your LO.

Is Ethan very small - Eric's only 9 weeks and the one size nappies I have tried on him had to be on almost the biggest setting so I was worried they wouldn't last him long enough!

All washables will come up substantially bigger than a disposable so if that's what you're comparing them to you will need to go up a clothes size or two. Eric is wearing 9-12 month trousers to get them over his terries, and even with shaped washables I couldn't get away with much smaller. He is only on the average weight centile so is not a 'big' baby.

I've just ordered some of the motherese to try they are bulky on little ones my boy is 13wks and he looks a bit lost so you might be right with a newborn. If i was you i would keep them even if you dont use them to start you can use then as he/she gets bigger

thanks Nikki
