Can anyone tell me how good or bad the Australian Itti Bitti D'lish AIO nappies are pls????

I sent off for one to have a look at and to mainly convince DH that washable nappies are no longer like the Terry kite shaped ones. Seems to have worked so far. I just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with them????

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the world of cloth :0))

I love my Itti Bitti, it's one of the few nappies that has fit my dd from birth (she was 6lb7) the only problem we're having is that it doesn't last as long as some of the other AIO's but that's mainly because we only have one of the boosters in (you can have upto 3 snap in ones), it's very slim and fits under anything (although we're using the bulkier nappies so that she fits in her clothes lol).

They are a little expensive but they contain most poo explosions and even though I've said they don't last as long, ours is still lasting about an hour and a half (some of the others last 2-3 hours), they look good, are slim fitting and for me one of the best things about them are that they dry really quickly.

Thank you for your response Rachael, its so good to get the opinions of people that are actually using them. Just out of interest how many did you start off with??  I thought 10 and another 10 extra boosters???? too many? too little??? I hadnt realised you can put 2 sets of boosters into one nappy case, boy that will be one well padded bottom, lol.

I never tended to leave my other two in their pampers for longer than 2hrs as I couldnt stand the smell the gel makes when in contact with wee, so I'm well used to changing nappies frequently anyway.

Will definately buy mostly itti bitti nappies with the odd Blueberry Cow patterned one for a laugh, lol.

p.s. if you have any tips on washing/drying pls pass on, thank you hunny.xxx

I've actually only got one atm in small but I've 3 possibly 4 in medium but I have a big stash of other types, tots bots bamboozles and flexitots, fuzzi bunz, blueberry minki and a couple of others but my main used one is the itti and fuzzi's, I should imagine it depends on how often you're washing, we're going through about five nappies a day (disposable at night) I'm washing every other day, i've got about 25 nappies though I only started out with 10 and then as I've discovered which ones work best I've added more. Not sure about boosters tbh I'm not boosting my nappies because of her size but microfibre clothes work just as well and are much cheaper.

It's worth seeing if your local council runs an incentive scheme as you'll either be able to get money off nappies or some do trial packs so you can find out which nappies suit your baby best.

I agree with the disposable smell, I can dry pail my cloth nappies for a couple of days yet the smell is nothing compared to one of her overnight disposables, can't wait until she's big enough to use them over night as well.

Hi there, we are 100% cloth in our house and use itti's most of the time.

we have 3 size small (5 extra boosters) and currently 1 size medium (2 extra boosters but need to stock up on theses). Ma isn't near big enough to fit into mediums yet (19 weeks old roughly 12 - 13lb) she still has lots of room in her smalls.

because mine are well used i can leave then on her for up to 5 hours without any sign of a leak.

one itti comes as follows. the outter furry wrap (comes in fab colours) a rectangular booster that you fold into 3 to make it fit and then a shaped liner/booster. these clip in with colour coded poppers so its easy and Grandparents etc can remember how to do it.

the shaped one has a waterproof lining that means ur baby's bum is always dry in them unless it's done a poo.

also you can buy the extra clip in bits seperately to the wrap. (the rectangular one and shaped one) so you dnot need to buy too many. you dont need to change the furry wrap every time just clip in clean boosters. we use one furry wrap a day and keep changing the boosters unless she does a poo and then change the furry wrap. this is what we have done - it costs less to do too. and itti costs £13 and int extra boosters are £6

i made the mistake of washing on too high a temp and now a couple have gone a bit stiff but still work fab.

we put a terry on her at night with a fleece liner and she stays in that for 13 hours over night. we only change it if she done a poo. the fleece keeps her bum dry all night. my mum did it to us so thats why i do it.

any more questions you have i am happy to answer. hope this helps.
