Just wondering whether or not this is something I should see my GP about or not...

DS is now 10 weeks old, and over the past 2 days I've had some niggly pains at and above my c-section scar. Today, though, they've become very sharp and they stop me in my tracks and I've nearly doubled-over more than once.

Is this normal during the recovery process or should I be discussing with my GP? I don't know if it makes any difference or not but I had lochia until 6 weeks, been on Depo since 6 weeks, and have had heavy and painful bleeding like my normal AFs for 2 weeks now (but this sharp pain feels completely different to AF cramps).

Hiya Lisa

Is your scar tender to touch, is there any redness or swelling around it?

I can't remember how long I had pains for after my sections, it was a long time but I don't ever remember it being 'stop you in your tracks' pain just uncomfortable kind of pulling pains.

I would see your GP just to make sure although I am sure it will be part of the recovery :o)

Thanks for replying.

My scar isn't any more tender than it has been, doesn't look particularly red or swollen either.

I think I'll see how I go over the weekend and see the GP next week if necessary.
